Learn to wire wrap a small geode which
will be the focal point for a necklace of
semi-precious stones, glass beads and

Embellishing with
Fabric
Fabric covered mats and frames can add
that individual artistic touch to your wall
decor.  Participants will cut a custom mat
and cover the frame with coordinating
fabric.  Bring a 4x6 or 5x7 photo or print
and leave with an 11x14 masterpiece.

Colorization
Learn how to select complementing colors
and stage your environment like a pro!
Participants will learn how to colorize their
special spaces, decorate with "found" and
inexpensive items, and stage their
environment to maximize the visual and
comfort appeal. Bring along items from
your space that reflect the main colors,
personality, style, and/or theme.
Particularly helpful are pillows, pattern
swatches or examples, and either pictures
of a few accessories or the actual small
accessories themselves.

This is an
afternoon (only)
workshop
This class introduces the student to
lampworking - manipulating glass with a
torch.  The intro. class allows the student
to get a feel for working with glass and
how it melts.  Studio safety will
be taught.  A great class for those who
want to get their "feet wet" without a
commitment.  This class generally runs
$75!!, but at the May 7th CFAC, it's a
regular workshop.  If you've ever wanted to
give torchwork a whirl, this is the time to do
it!

Slumped Bottle

This is an
afternoon (only)
workshop
Always looking for unique ways to reuse
and recycle?  How about 'slumping' those
empty bottles!  In this workshop, you'll
create a one-of-a-kind snack tray out of a
slumped bottle.  First, you'll embellish your
bottle with wire and beads and then you'll
get to etch your initial into it for a truly
personalized look.  Retail value of
decorated slumped bottles can range from
$35+.

of tie dye technique using cord.  This
method is tons of fun, leaves more control
of dyeing to the artist, and is much less

Create a gorgeous piece of art!  In this
process, you will paint, with watercolors, a
design onto Plexiglas then transfer the
image onto a piece of rag watercolor
paper.  Your finished project will be a
matted and will measure approximately 11
